An Ode to the First Half of 2020

NaPoWriMo 2020
April 18
Write on the small pleasures of life

Rushing to college:
Tumbling through crowded buses —
A soft breeze, a pause.

Long day, scratchy throat,
summer sizzling on your skin.
A cold coffee sip.

Chairs twisted and turned,
Dusty grounds — nowhere to sit:
Signs of life all round.

Plan a summer trip,
pack your suitcase with dresses
with two tickets booked.

Stay at home all day,
relax, enjoy your me-time:
don’t rush anywhere.
